Stress is defined as a bodily response to the demands of life. There are also emotional aspects of stress as well. Stress can lead to both physical and mental health issues and have far-reaching effects on other parts of one’s life. Unhealthy coping mechanisms may lead to substance abuse or other self-harm, which is why it is important to develop healthy ways to deal with stress. This course will focus on helping the individual develop strategies for stress management and learn to deal with life in a healthy and productive manner.
